Past Events

Circuit Board Program
In this event held at the Troy Public Library on January 23, 2024, we focused on circuit boards and created a fun learning experience for kids to enjoy.

Code Robots Program
On October 7th, 2023 AOTE visited the Troy Public Library! In this program, each kid got their own robot to build and program! These robots used physical block coding - a simple and tangible way to introduce coding.

Circuit Rover Program
On April 6th, 2024 AOTE brought circuit-controlled rovers to the Troy Public Library! Kids experienced how to manipulate electricity, design their rover, and build an obstacle course to race through!

Crawling Robot Program
On June 22, 2024 kids at the Fraser Public Library made crawling crab robots! In this activity, kids learned about mechanics, engineering, and robotics all while having fun!

Record Racers at the Auburn Hills Public LIbrary
On November 12th, 2024, we hosted an event at the Auburn Hills Public Library for local kids! Each kid got their own record racing kit to build. From this event, they learned about mechanics and machines in motion! Every kid got to take their finished project home.

Madison Heights Library Donation
Unfortunately, we had to cancel our event at the Madison Heights Public Library. Afterward, on Nov 14, 2024, we donated the remaining Kiwico DIY Basketball kits to give out. Kids in Madison Heights will still get an opportunity to learn STEM through this fun, interactive game!

Center Line Library Event
On Jan 21, 2025, we partnered with the Center Line Public Library to host a STEM event! Each kid got to build a laser projector from Kiwico. Not only did they have lots of fun, but they learned about vital STEM concepts such as electricity, light, mechanics, and etc!

Laser Projectors at the Fraser Library
On Feb 1, AOTE went to the Fraser Public Library to teach kids how to build a geometric laser projector! Each kid got to build a laser projector from Kiwico. At the same time, they learned about light, motion, electricity, and mechanics!

Space Rovers at the Detroit Public Library
On Feb 8th, 2025, AOTE visited the Detroit Public Library and taught kids how to build space solar robots!

Laser Projectors at the Roseville Library
On March 1, AOTE partnered with the Roseville Public Library to teach kids how to make their own Geometric Laser Projectors from Kiwico! Not only did the kids have fun, but they also learned about essential STEM concepts like electricity, light, mechanics, etc.

Pinball Machines at the Troy Library
On June 12, 2025 we visited the Troy Public Library to teach kids how to make their own Pinball machine! Each pair of kids had fun learning, building, and playing.

Snake Robots at the Farmington Library
The AOTE Foundation partnered with the Farmington Library to bring a free STEM event to the public! Kids joined us on June 20, 2025 to work in pairs and build a snake robot from Kiwico. The kids had lots of fun learning about robotics, mechanics, and STEM.

Walking Robots and Machines at the Troy Boys and Girls Club
On June 18th, the AOTE Foundation partnered with the Troy Public Library to host a STEM event at the Troy Boys and Girls Club. The kids could either build two kits. Not only did they learn about STEM, but they had lots of fun!

Snake Robots at the Clawson Recreation Center
AOTE visited the Clawson Recreation Center to teach kids how to build remote controlled snake robots! Not only was this a fun activity - it was also educational. The kids learned about mechanics, motion, and creativity.

Jumping Robots at the Warren Library
On July 18, 2025, we visited the Warren Public Library to teach kids how to build a Jumping Robot from Kiwico! During this activity, the kids learned about motion, mechanics, and even some troubleshooting. Thank you so much to the participants and the library staff.

Day on Town, Birmingham
AOTE joined Birmingham's Day on Town Festival 2025 to run a free craft booth for kids. In addition to helping kids and families enjoy crafts, we gave away dozens of STEM kits and prizes.

Record Racers at the Farmington YMCA
Yesterday, we went to the Farmington Family YMCA to do a STEM activity with their campers! The kids worked in pairs to build a record racer kit from Kiwico. They learned about motion, mechanics, and motors. Each kid had fun, and we are so grateful to the staff for having us!

Pinball Machines at the Center Line Library
AOTE visited the Center Line Public Library on August 12 to teach kids how to build their own pinball machine! In this activity each kid got to learn about mechanics and take home a fun game!
STEM in Nigeria
International Projects
In December 2024, the AOTE Foundation sponsored the New Page Project to deliver over 90 lbs of STEM textbooks to multiple schools in Nigeria, including Bimleks High School, the Marpeda School, Integrity Model School and others! Learn more here.
